The rapids are rated Class II+, offering moderate thrills and plenty of splashes – a perfect introduction to white water for novice rafters – while paddlers remain safely inside the raft.

It begins with a pontoon boat ride along the Tortuguero canals, a coastal system of natural and man-made waterways rich in biodiversity. You’ll travel by bus to the Veragua Rainforest, a private mountain reserve that is home to the Foundation for Rainforest Research.
