White Water Rafting

Experience the fun and excitement of white-water rafting without the spills along the “El Carmen” section of the Reventazón River. As the river winds through the Caribbean coastal plains, its waters are wide open, and its banks are lined with lush, verdant jungle filled with a variety of birds and other tropical species. The rapids are rated Class II+, offering moderate thrills and plenty of splashes – a perfect introduction to white water for novice rafters – while paddlers remain safely inside the raft. This pace also means that you’re able to take in the beautiful scenery and be on the lookout for wildlife while paddling. Departing from the pier, it’s a scenic one-hour drive to a main station before continuing on to the launch point on the river. Everyone is fitted with a helmet and life jacket and receives safety instructions before boarding the raft with a guide. After the river adventure, the group returns to the main station where you can change into dry clothes, and refuel with a simple lunch
