Blue Grotto and Beach Break

Submitted by carmine.nezi on

Jacques Cousteau once claimed that the Dubrovnik Riviera was one of the world's cleanest bodies of water. This is your chance to sail the amazing Croatian coastline and explore its pristine seas. Board a Zodiac boat for a scenic cruise toward the island of Lokrum and along Dubrovnik's ancient city walls, which are especially impressive from the sea. Discover myriad photo opportunities as you continue along the Lapad Peninsula and pass close by Grebeni Lighthouse before reaching Kolocep, an island covered in dense forests and dotted with vineyards and olive and citrus trees. Here you can snorkel in the dazzling Blue Grotto, a sea cavern illuminated with an iridescent glow. On the other side of Kolocep is the sandy beach of Donje Celo, where you’ll enjoy more leisure time for relaxing in the sun and swimming in the bay. From Kolocep, take a short cruise into lovely Zaton Bay for lunch at Orsan, an elegant restaurant with exquisite views of the boats bobbing in the harbor.
